August Goals

I made some goals! I didn't make them for the entire school year, rather I figured I'd focus on a month at a time. I enjoyed my summer bucket list and I'm looking forward to seeing if I can accomplish all of these goals as well. :)

1. WRITE -- 1000 words a day in fiction
The goal is to get back to my writing some more. I got over 10,000 words written this summer and I hope to get even more during the rest of 2013. I figure 1000 words a day is a small commitment. That's about 30 min - 1 hour on writing for me.

2. WRITE -- at least ONE blog post a day
I have three different blogs available for me to write on. I figure between three blogs, one post a day is very manageable. The other two blogs are Moments to Teach (my teaching blog) and Two to Write (a writing blog I share with my sister).

3. Try 4 new recipes.
I've been pinning away on my recipes boards, but I seem to forget to try new things! So, I'm setting a goal of trying 4 recipes this month. I'll be sure to blog about them here. :)

4. Make 2 crafts.
I've been doing really well with crafting more. This is just a small goal to help me continue that. Again, I'll share my outcomes on the blog!

5. Host one photo shoot.
I'm still hoping to get into freelance photography some. That being said, I'm going to look for more photography opportunities this month! My subject this time will hopefully be people instead of animals and inanimate objects.

6. Create & utilize a "boredom" jar.
I'll explain this one more when it's done. If it works out like I want it to, then it will be an awesome "craft" of sorts to share on the blog!

7. Set up my classroom.
I finally get to start on this tomorrow! I'm over the moon excited to start decorating the room. I love to decorate - whether it's at home or at school. Speaking of decorating, I still owe you some apartment pictures. Those will be coming after I get my pile of school things out of the office.

8. Start the school year off right!
Positive attitude - that is my goal for this school year. I want to find the good in things rather than the negative.

What are your goals?
