Today marks the start of NaNoWriMo. Writers everywhere are scrambling to fill their pages with as many words as possible. The goal is to write 50,000 words in 30 days. That is about 1,667 words a day (or 7 pages double spaced for those of you that think in pages instead of words). This can be a lofty goal for writers. It means letting go of our perfectionist tendencies and letting our creativity take the front seat for a month. Some great things can come from this!
To help me reach my goal and to honor those writers that I have come to know and love (and even a few that I don’t know), I am hosting “Thirty Days of Writers” here on Stolen Moments. Each day, I will focus on a writer or writing tip. I have 18 wonderful writers lined up to share with you. They have been busy answering interview questions so that you can learn more about them! On the days that I don’t have a writer scheduled, you will find other writing-related posts this month. (I’m sure you’ll also find some of my random posts making it into the line up as well – including a Cara box reveal that is overdue!)
Feel free to snag the button and include it on your page! I would love for you to link back to me. 🙂 (NaNoWriMo is themed around old video games this year – hence the font choice!)
Oh…how am I doing thus far? I set a personal daily goal of 2,000 words. My current word count is 2,058 words! I’d consider that goal accomplished for day 1!
