Up first is some exciting news. As you may have read, I recently decided to join with Thirty-One Gifts as an independent consultant. There are several reasons why I chose to do this and I'm sure I'll share those with you sometime, but today is about the exciting news. The exciting news is that I got my enrollment kit last week and I'm hosting my launch party tomorrow (so be prepared for party pics!). I'm excited to have friends over for a party and hopeful that this can be a launching pad for me. If nothing else, I'll enjoy the party and the shopping!
(I'll show you what was in the box after my launch party tomorrow!)
One of my cuties came up to me at the end of the school day yesterday with a big grin on his face. "I have something for you." I smiled back and he proceeded to hand me the cutest little penguin. My heart about melted. Today, he can in and the first thing he asked was "Did you and the penguin have fun yesterday?" I absolutely adore this kid. :)
At the beginning of the week, I challenged myself to change up my hairstyles. I always take the easy route and throw my hair up in a bun or ponytail and call it a day. Monday (a day off!), I decided it was time to challenge myself in the style department. I set a goal of not repeating hairstyles this week. I was quite successful and the one from yesterday (below) got me lots of compliments (from the adults and the kids)!
Last weekend was awesome. My bestie N came for a visit and we really had a blast. We caught a movie, hung out with friends, and overall relaxed and chatted. We even squeezed in a visit with my nephew! It had been a while since I'd seen N, so this visit was long overdue. I guess that's the pitfall of a bestie that lives in another state.
Last, but not least, I'm super excited for February. As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I've got a theme all worked out. It's going to force me to open up about my life a little. I'm also thinking of hosting my first giveaway next month, so keep an eye out for that!
I'm linking up, just like I told you I would!
