Take a Moment – New Blogger Spotlight
One of my favorite things about blogging is meeting other bloggers. Although I haven’t gotten a chance to meet any in person yet, I have enjoyed getting to know them through online groups and chats. (The #bloggerPJparty is great for this! Random sidenote: look for details coming SOON about the next one! The June date and platform have been set!) I have found so many cool blogs through the different groups I am a part of.
I was sitting here one day and realized that finding new blogs is a lot of fun. In many ways, it’s like unwrapping a present. First, you get to ooh and ahh at the pretty blog design. Then, you start tearing away the paper as you read posts and about sections. (Speaking of about sections – mine is getting an update VERY soon. I realized it’s blank! I’m not sure how/when that happened!) Back to that present – after browsing and reading, you eventually click the different platform buttons and like the blog on one or more of the social media networks in hopes that a friendship forms or at the very least, you hope you’ve found another blog you can read when you’re bored or looking for entertainment.
Where am I going with this long ramble? I decided to start a new segment here at Hodge Podge Moments! It’s going to be called “Take a Moment” and each week I’m going to feature a different blogger. I have a form where you can sign up to be a part of it. (I already have people signed up and ready to go since I opened this up to a couple of my favorite groups last week, but I will gladly take more!) After someone signs up, I check out their blog and pick a few things to share with my readers. I’m hoping this will be a great way for you to find other blogs out there to read and enjoy! To give you an example of what the post will look like, I’m going to be featuring myself today in a separate post!
Are you a blogger? Do you want to be featured? Just fill out the form and I’ll add you to the list! Don’t worry, I’ll let you know when your week is coming in case there’s anything that needs to be changed!
