Healthy Patriotic Snack
Tomorrow is July 4th – a major holiday in our country. I know that it’s a busy weekend of family and fireworks for many so I’m going to keep today’s post really simple and patriotic. I’m bringing you a simple healthy snack you can serve for July 4th.
You’re going to need three ingredients – bananas, blueberries, and strawberries. If you have an allergy to one of those fruits, simple replace it with another fruit of the same color. Make sure you wash your fruits after you buy them.
Slice the strawberries in half after you wash them.
Slice the bananas into thin slices.
Leave the blueberries whole.
Now, arrange them on your plate in a pretty design. I chose to make mine look like a starburst but you could do any shape – flag, heart, circle, etc.
You could even provide the ingredients and let everyone create their own festive shape. We aren’t able to host a get together this year but I would love to host one in the future and include this as an activity. It might even be fun to do prizes for the most creative display!
