I love getting Christmas cards in the mail. I especially love the ones where I can tell a lot of effort went into the card before I even open it! Yes – the envelope can make an impression! Since it’s Day 9 of Holiday Moments which means mailing cards, I thought I’d bring you a few tips for jazzing up your envelopes!

The tips that I’m about to share can be applied to your actual cards or to the envelopes that will be their means of transportation to their destination.

1. Add stickers.
Stickers are relatively inexpensive but can add such a fun touch. You can decorate the front of your envelope with them or even use one to help keep the envelope sealed. Check around at your dollar store or craft store for some fun holiday themed stickers to use!

2. Get creative with washi tape.
Washi tape can do so many great things and is relatively inexpensive to purchase. Pick up some red and green designs and use it to add a little flair to the outside of your envelope.

3. Labels.
If you’re not in love with your handwriting, I recommend using printed labels for the addresses. You can add fun designs and borders to them to help make your envelope more festive. You can pick up labels at any store that sells office supplies. Don’t worry – they come with directions on how to use them!

4. Get colorful!
You can buy colored envelopes at many office supply places. This is a great option if you’re making your own cards. (Store bought cards come with their own envelopes.) Pick out a festive color to make them even more fun!

Do you do anything special to your cards before you send them out? I’d love to hear about it below!
