It’s Wednesday which means it’s time for another update on how I’m doing with my health and fitness goals. I’m on Week 2 of the 21 Day Fix and while I’ve made quite a few mistakes, I’ve also made quite a few good choices which are the ones I’m choosing to highlight today. I’ve found that focusing on the positive has kept me more motivated this time around. Despite my mess ups, I am down 3-4 pounds total. I’ve also seen some changes in my energy levels on the days when I follow the fix well.

This is going to be a quick update highlighting my positives and negatives of the week. You can see how I did in Week 1 here.

Day 8

This was grocery store day. I was disappointed to find that they were out of blueberries and Persian cucumbers, which is how I ended up with a banana. My workout for the day was a class at the pole studio.

Day 9

I’m not going to lie – this was almost my “give up” day. I showed up to the studio for my bootcamp class only to discover it had been cancelled and no one had contacted me. This meant I wasted about 45 minutes of my day driving to the studio, waiting on the instructor, and then driving back. I was so tempted to give up. Instead, I pulled out my T25 videos and got a quick workout in before experimenting for dinner. I came up with a macaroni and cheese recipe that is much healthier and still delicious. It needs a little perfecting before I share it here but I plan to share it in the future!

Day 10

This was a simple enough day. I’m not sure what my fascination with tacos was this week but they did make several appearances. My workout for day 10 was a class at the pole studio.

Day 11

Day 11 was a pretty good day overall. My dinner was slightly off the plan but not by much. I had a friend over for dinner and I was trying my best to enjoy it while still staying within the plan. Overall, I felt that I did pretty well on day 11. My workout for the day was bootcamp.

Day 12

I wasn’t feeling very well on Friday so I’m surprised that I ate anything at all. My appetite was low but I pushed to get some food in because I know starving yourself doesn’t help anything. I took the day as a rest day.

Day 13

I didn’t make the best food choices on Saturday but I did manage to stay within my calorie range on My Fitness Pal which was surprising. Saturdays is an extra long and intense bootcamp, so I’m not going to feel bad about the choices I made. Instead, I’m going to learn from them and move on.

Day 14

I’m sharing a picture of my feet for Sunday because they represent the day best. I spent it relaxing and hanging out with a friend. This meant I made some food choices that I shouldn’t have and I didn’t take pictures of my good or bad food choices.

Overall, I’m okay with how my second week went. I’m slowly learning to make healthy choices the norm with the unhealthy choices more uncommon. Dinner seems to be my problem meal and I’m working each week to improve that. I am going to be sticking loosely to the 21 Day Fix plan until the end of the month. I’m using it as my guide for balance and portions when eating.
