I’ve decided to bring back my blogger spotlight series, Take a Moment. For the next couple of months, I will be highlighting some of my favorite bloggers on Thursday. The first blogger I’m highlighting is a cohost of Bloggy Brunch and Blogger PJ Party, so you’ve already seen her mentioned on the blog a lot! Today, I’m bringing you the spotlight and some additional information about a charity she has paired with. Make sure you read all the way to the end where there’s a giveaway waiting for you!

And now…here’s a little bit more about Raewyn!

1. Can you tell us a little bit about your blog?
Be a Warrior Queen is a self-love sanctuary! I focus on providing content that will guide readers on their self-love journeys and help them to discover more about themselves. As a new mom, I also throw in tips and observations about parenting! In addition to blog posts, I host a weekly Instagram loop, a bi-weekly podcast, a monthly video hangout, a monthly Twitterchat and a Facebook Group called We Are Warrior Queens. Be a Warrior Queen is primarily written by me, but all other aspects of the blog are a collaboration between myself and Allie Williams and Megan Kubasch.

2. Why did you start blogging?
My very first blog was a journal on Xanga in high school to chat with friends during the summer. This particular blog was started to grow a following for my movement! I wanted to reach a broad audience and change the world!

3. What is your favorite thing about blogging?
Collaboration! I am such a sucker for teamwork and working with new people and connecting with people. Blogging has opened up so many doors and introduced me to some of my best friends (like you!)

4. What are three blogs that you read regularly?
I have a whole blog roll
But if I had to list only three:
And Possibly Dinosaurs
Beyoutiful Beauty
The Dahlia Scene

5. What is your favorite social media platform and why?
Personally? I love Instagram the most, I love seeing into people’s lives! For blogging, I am a sucker for Twitter. I love that it is short and to the point and I can get some of the best new finds!

6. If there were thirty extra minutes in a day, how would you spend them?
I would like to say pampering myself, but truth be told they would probably be spent on my computer or social media! Sleep would be a good idea but I know I would just say “oh, I have an extra 30 minutes I could stay up and blog!”

7. What are three items on your bucket list?
Learn Farsi
See Aurora Borealis
Have a Warrior Queen booth at an event

8. What has been your favorite memory of 2016 so far?
I think that my favorite memory is sort of an everyday thing. My favorite memory is seeing Delainey crawl for the first time!!

As I mentioned above, Raewyn has recently paired with a local charity that is doing great things. I’ve included her blurb about the charity below and how you can get involved to help! Don’t forget that there’s a giveaway waiting for you at the end!

As bloggers, we use a lot of words. We have realized that WORDS are POWERFUL and we have decided to use our words for good and spread a message about a great cause…
Today, I wanted to introduce you to Project Lead Kindly and their 2016 Pregnancy Shelter Hop.
Project Lead Kindly is a nonprofit organization that assists mothers & children affected by domestic violence and homelessness. They are also on a mission to encourage, inspire, and remind everyone that we ALL have the potential to serve & “lead kindly,” no matter our circumstances. Each year, Project Lead Kindly provides a BIG service project to the community. Last year, they organized a children’s book drive. This year, we are raising money for Project Lead Kindly’s 2016 Pregnancy Shelter Hop. We will be assisting 5 different shelters throughout California that house homeless, pregnant mothers and their children. We will be donating newborn necessities to:Harvest Home, Precious Life Shelter, Casa Teresa, Angels Way Maternity Home, and Elizabeth House. We will also be throwing two events to assist the mothers serviced by Elizabeth House & Angels Way Maternity Home.

How you can help!

While the events are local to California, we wanted to find some way for the amazingly supportive online community to help out! We’ve set up a GoFundMe with a goal to raise $1000 for Project Lead Kindly: www.GoFundMe.com/PLKshelterhop

All funds donated will go to Project Lead Kindly & help:
1) provide these necessary items for the mothers & their babies at all 5 shelters, 2) throw the events for the mothers from Elizabeth House & Angels Way, 3) help spread the Lead Kindly message (the reminder that ALL have the potential to do good and to be an example to others, no matter what trials they face) to these women who need to be encouraged & reminded of their worth & potential and that they are cared for!

Please consider donating even $1 to the cause. Every little bit helps. In addition to donating, if you want to share the cause with us, please:

1) take the image below

2) share it in your own blog post and social media

3) encourage others to join our initiative & donate!

You can also email projectleadkindly@gmail.com your blog post link so they can share it with others!

And if you don’t have a blog, but simply want to share the cause, we encourage you to take the image & share it on social media! We have a goal of $1000, and if we all use our words together, we can reach it!

We also wanted to include a fun giveaway as a thank you for your support! This giveaway is sponsored by the bloggers and not Project Lead Kindly directly.
