It’s another party!!

Today I’m going to focus on making things from other things. Last night, Bestie K came over for a visit and we spent the evening doing crafts. None of these crafts cost very much and they all made us quite happy.

Up First: Wine Cork Pendants

I found the tutorial for this here: Wine Cork Pendants

It’s a simple tutorial. You take a basic wine cork. Then, you cut it into a small round piece. You decorate it using paint and stamps. Then, you add the eyelet and you have a pendant. This one takes some trial and error to get it right.

Price:
Cork: free
Eyelet: Pack of 12 for about $2
Also needed: paint, stamps, inkpad

Up Next: Decorative Cork Board

We took the tile corkboards that you find at Walmart, a hot glue gun, and fabric. We used the hot glue gun to attach the fabric to the cork tiles. (Glue the edges of the fabric on the back to avoid any glue showing on the front.) These are going to be added to a larger project in my classroom.

Price:
Cork tiles: 4 for $7 (in store)
Fabric: $1 per remnant
Also needed: hot glue, scissors

And Last: Tissue Pom Poms

There are several tutorials floating out there for these. I don’t even know which one I looked at last night. My first attempt did not go so well:

The second attempt turned out better, which is good because I hope to spruce up my classroom with these!

Cost:
Tissue Paper – $1 a pack

That’s it for the crafts today!! What have you made lately? Remember, cheap is the goal!
