It must be the Fourth of July. I have red, white, and blue toes and there are fireworks still going on outside. It’s 11:30 at night and the night air is alive with noise. Definitely a holiday. My sister’s husband tried to claim my big toe was actually green. Now, does that look green to you?
I spent the day with family and old family friends. It was quite enjoyable playing catch up. We chatted, cooked out, and enjoyed an evening of fireworks. I made the potato salad that I mentioned in this post and it was once again a big hit! Everyone was complimenting it and going back for seconds. I love it when I make something and people compliment it. 🙂
The last part of the evening was fireworks. It was quite the throwback watching my dad set off fireworks again. It’s the first time I’ve seen him do that in a long time. I also enjoyed trying to capture the fireworks on film. I was successful on a few.
All in all, it was a very happy Fourth of July. If I can find the focus to write a chapter tonight, it’ll be an even better Fourth of July!!
Tomorrow is a day of cleaning, organizing, crafting, and writing. Check back to see what I accomplish! I will try to remember before and after shots for you!
