So, my blogging friend Rachael pointed out on her blog Pretty in Pink that today is Book Lovers Day. I wanted to spread the joy around here as well! I thought I’d start by giving you a quick, unofficial review of a book I’ve read recently. I have several that I would like to review, but I’m going to start with this one for now:
One of my most recent finds was the lovely book pictured above. I grew up reading the Sweet Valley series, so I was over the moon excited when I found this book in a bargain bin. It’s the story of the twins 10 years later.
I have officially finished reading the book and I have to say that I was quite surprised by how it all turns out. I’m not going to give any storyline details – you really need to read it yourself for those. I am going to say that I felt Francine Pascal did a great job of filling you in on what has happened in the twins’ lives after graduating college. She also catches you up on many of the popular characters from the series.
If you were a lover of Sweet Valley growing up, then I highly recommend you seek out this book to read. It’s a quick read that will take you back to the girls you grew up reading about! If you do read it, let me know what you think in the comments.
I’m always looking for new books to read – do you have any recommendations of your own? Share in the comments!
Thanks for the shout out!! It's a great day, isn't it?! xo
Oh my! I need to find this book! I loved reading them when I was younger. Besides, I always can use an excuse to run to the book store!
