Since today marks the start of a new month, I thought I’d take a moment to share my reading list for February with you. This month, I’m focusing on books that will help me improve my blog. I’ve rounded up a few of the blog-related books that I plan to read (or reread) this month. I’ll continue to add to the list as I find new books or get new recommendations.
1. How to Blog for Profit Without Selling Your Soul by Ruth Soukup:
I selected this book because I’ve already read it and it was a favorite. I picked this book up at the beginning of January and read it in about 2-3 days with my busy schedule. I was so drawn into this book because of the many tips and tricks she gives in very easy terms. I’m planning to reread it this month. This time, I’ll be highlighting, making to do lists, and flagging things with post it notes. I plan to put many of the tips into play this month instead of just reading about them.
2. Blog Inc by Joy Deangdeelert Cho
I selected this book because it was selected for our book club in Bloggers Get Social. I’ve heard many great things about it and I’m looking forward to seeing what the book offers as insight to blogging.
3. HTML & CSS by Jon Duckett
This one is definitely more of a reference book. I won’t be reading it cover to cover, but I will be referencing it often as I update my design for the blog. I also felt that it was a book that should be added to my collection.
4. #GirlBoss by Sophia Amoruso
When I start hearing about a book from several sources, that is when I get curious. I’ve heard so much about this book from various groups that I’m a part of that I felt it was worth a read. I’ve got it checked out through the digital library loan system and I’m looking forward to reading it first. (It’s first for reading only because it has an expiration.)
What’s on your reading list for February? Are there any other blogging books that you would add to this list?
