Prepare to be intrigued. I’m about to make the biggest announcement to date on the blog – even bigger than #bloggerPJparty (which will be celebrating a year of existence in April) or my engagement. This announcement is SO big that I had to get other bloggers involved just to help make it happen. I’ll tell you all about it in a moment, but first, let me give you the back story.

As you may (or may not) know, one of my big goals for 2015 is to grow my blog even more. I want to help more people enjoy a healthy, happy life. In order to do this, I thought it might be nice to network and learn in a new way. This (and lots of social media stalking) led me to the concept of attending a blogging conference. I’ve attended teaching conferences and Thirty One conferences in the past and had a blast networking and learning. I figured I would enjoy a blogging conference.

Once an idea is in my head, I tend to start researching and figuring out what it will take to make it happen. As I researched different conferences, I began to realize that most would require lots of travel, money, or both. I wasn’t finding any near me that were affordable. So, I got discouraged. When I get discouraged, I jump into problem solving mode and work out ways to solve my problem.

I was getting things ready for another #bloggerPJparty when a thought came to me! What about an online conference? Surely one of those would be affordable! I searched and searched and didn’t find much regarding online blogging conferences. I was shocked and dismayed once again until I once again jumped into problem solving mode.

I was surfing social media and asking others about conferences when an idea struck. Why not create my own conference? Certainly I’m not the only blogger out there looking for an affordable conference for networking and learning purposes. I let the idea simmer a bit before posting about it in one of my favorite blogging groups, All Bloggers United. In no time flat, I had assembled a great group of bloggers to help me plan an online blogging conference.

Those bloggers are Hannah from By Hannah Joy, Rebecca from Strength & Sunshine, Emily from Emily Finta, Sabina from Victim to Charm, Nikki from Dollar Store Diva, Olivia from Liv Laugh & Love Leopard, Tiffany from Endless Bliss, Ashleigh from Ashleigh’s World, Courtney from As We Stumble Along, Allison from Allison Leighann, Natalie from Natalie Patalie, and Amanda from College is Love.

A group was formed, ideas were shared, and the concept of The Blogging Connection was hatched. We’re still in the planning stages, but we’re looking forward to bringing you an awesome online experience at an affordable price! Random sidenote: After starting this group and formulating a plan, I did find an affordable conference not too far away. This girl is excited to be going to Bloggy Boot Camp in May!
