My life is a hodge podge of interests, just like my blog. This made it very hard for me to pick five favorite books in one category because I love books from all sorts of categories. So, I’ve picked various genres and I’m sharing my favorite from each!

The Classics
My favorite book that falls in the “classic” category is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I fell in love with the book on my first read. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve read this classic love story. It’s proof that love can exist where you least expect it, which is something I whole-heartedly believe in.

Young Adult
There are so many great books that I could list for young adult. My most recent favorite from this category would have to be Delirium by Lauren Oliver. This book is the start of a utopian series that is very interesting. The premise of the world is that love is a disease and should be avoided at all costs. If you like Hunger Games and Divergent, then you’ll enjoy this series a lot!

Fantasy
My favorite fantasy book would have to be Stardust by Neil Gaiman. I first started reading this book after I saw the preview for the movie. The trailer looked so interesting that I wanted to read the book before the movie came out. We made a 14 hour trip to my grandparents’ house that summer and I devoured the book in one sitting. It’s a great read! (I recommend getting the unabridged version.)

Chick Lit
This category is probably one of the hardest for me. I love reading books from this category! I’m going to go with Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella because it’s the book that got me into reading this category.  I could do an entire list of books for this category though.

Personal Development
I’m not normally a nonfiction reader but lately, I’ve been focused on personal development books. So far, the favorite of my reads has been #GirlBoss by Sophie Amoruso. I found the story told in this story to be very inspiring and authentic.

What are your favorite reads? I would love to see them linked up below!
