Disclosure and Privacy Policy

Hello there lovely reader! I’m so glad that you’ve stumbled into my little corner of the internet. Hodge Podge Moments is part passion project and part income generator. It started out as a hobby blog, but I’ve recently moved towards blogging as a business. This means that I need to share a few things with you so that you know what to expect when you’re interacting here on the blog.

Disclosure

FTC Regulations state that I need to disclose when I’m using affiliate links. You will find these used throughout my blog posts and the individual posts always have an additional note at the top to remind you of these links. These links allow me to make a small commission from your purchase; however, they do not affect your buying experience at all.

“I, Pamela Hodges, am also a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.”

Privacy Policy

You will find instances on the blog where I ask for your email address. I do not share your email address with anyone else. I do not believe in spamming or selling your information to others. I use your email address as a way to communicate great finds, tips, and more via my weekly newsletter. You are able to opt out of these emails at anytime if you find that they no longer help you.

I am here to help you simplify and find ways to take the “busy” out of your everyday life. My goal is to help you find joy in the little moments of your day so that you can enjoy life and all that it has to offer. If you have any questions or concerns, you can always reach me at pam@hodgepodgemoments.com.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

We use a few outside sites to help us best maintain our site. Mailerlite is used to collect names and email addresses for our weekly newsletter. Thinkific is used to host our programs and products that we have available for purchase. Google Analytics is used to collect and analyze data about visitors to our site.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

In addition to this, we keep email addresses until you unsubscribe or become inactive as a reader for two months. There is an unsubscribe option included with every email and once you are unsubscribed, we remove your data from our files. We keep analytic data for up to a year and we keep purchase records for as long as you’re an active  student in Thinkific or until you choose to unenroll.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
